Frozen Jr.
Hey everyone ice to see you!
From the beginning of this year, students and staff have been diligently working to produce this year’s musical: Frozen Jr The Musical!
First off, I’d love to give a massive congratulations to every member of the musical, whether up on stage passionately performing or working backstage and making the show look seamless; everything was spectacular. The love for the production was evident in every song and scene. While I may not be the target audience, I can’t pretend that I wasn’t singing along, especially to Let It Go; such an iconic song.
Speaking of which: Why can't you give Elsa a balloon?
…
Because she will just let it go!
I’m sorry I had to; it’s a classic.
As someone who is just generally curious about the theatre/musical world, I asked students a range of questions to get to know their thoughts; let's have a look:
Jazz - Elsa
Q: What is your favourite part of being a member of the musical?
A: My favourite part of being a member of the musical is getting to spend time with my friends, doing what we all love most, which is acting, singing and performing.
Q: Why should people get involved in future musicals?
A: People should get involved in future musicals because it is just a lot of fun. It’s hard work, but at the end of the day, you forget all the long hours and just focus on the incredible memories you've made. You won’t regret it!
Delanah - Co-Director of Costumes and King Agnarr
Q: What makes TC productions/musicals special?
A: The community we have; being such a student-based production, is such a unique experience as you can truly see all of your work come to life.
Evie - Bulda
Q: Why should people get involved in future musicals?
A: Theatre creates a sense of belonging and ends up forming one big family, and there's just no feeling like being a part of that family. Being on stage is such a special feeling that you can't capture in any other way.
If any of this sounds like something you’d like to experience, make sure to keep an eye on teams for updates about next year’s musical; opportunities can include auditions to perform or work backstage. Before I leave….
Knock knock.
Who's there?
You.
You who?
Big summer blowout!
