BYOD Program Information
TC has a BYOD program to meet dynamic needs of our students.
When planning how the BYOD program was going to work, we decided that not all devices would be suitable for use in the classroom. We know that some devices have been designed with a key focus around web-based workloads where as other devices have been designed with the balance between a software application workload and web-based workload.
With this in mind, some baseline requirements have been created to ensure compatibility with the school network, security policies and with our common software platform.
Getting Your Computer Ready for the BYOD Program @ TC
If you are enrolling @ TC please review our information guide to understand requirements for the 'bring your own device' program.
What you need to do (very important before purchasing):
Download and read the current BYOD Information and Requirements Checklist. This guide will advise on suitable computers and explain the software requirements for our BYOD program.
The document also has a step-by-step checklist to help get the computer ready for registration. The support agreement found at the end of this document must be signed and returned to school when the computer comes in for configuration at I.T.
How to Register your BYO computer with I.T
Once you have read the information provided in the link above, and purchased a suitable computer that meets our program requirements. Your next step is to register the device with I.T Services before bringing it to school.
Once the computer is registered with I.T you may bring it in on the date you nominated to the I.T Service Desk located in the The Link to have it configured.
PLEASE NOTE: When you click below to register, you will need to login using your TC Account. E.g. abc0001@tc.vic.edu.au and the password you use for TC network access.
