Grads
VCE Award winners
Congratulations to our Grads who received awards for their VCE efforts last year. All VCE Award winners were invited to a breakfast with Daryl and their teachers in February to celebrate their successes.
Moments like these reflect what TC is all about, recognising and celebrating the unique success, talents, and abilities of every student. We are incredibly proud of these achievements and the commitment behind them, and we can’t wait to see what these students, and the entire graduating cohort, go on to accomplish next.
Grad Yearbook reflection
Honestly being a grad is a bit like working on our upcoming yearbook. You want everything to go your way you know? The vibe, the aesthetic... to end things on the perfect note — but sometimes that feels like too much to ask for.
I want to make sure we have one final sentimental touch to send off our Grad cohort (the yearbook). The pressure feels real, both within the yearbook committee and in our classes. I think the effort each individual student is putting in, in whichever area — whether the yearbook committee, a club, or a class — is just going to be so worth it in the end, as we step into our new future and prepare for adult life.

Grad Hoodies arrived!
We’ve waited… and now it’s our turn! 👕🎓 Class of 2026 Grad hoodies are here! 🥳
Grad Camp
This camp was very special for the graduating class of 2026 🎓 as this year level was caught in the midst of COVID as Entry students, so we never got to experience making new friends at a new school on camp as Year 7s. As a result, absolutely everyone was buzzed for the camp, with excited chatter filling the buses as we made the 2-hour trip down to Anglesea Discovery Camp 🚌🌊.
We ended up in a small town with familiar sights all around; the only thing really different was the views. From the top of the rise, we could see the water stretching to the horizon 🌅. Then, a sharp turn into a long driveway and suddenly, we were there! The camp is nestled amongst greenery and the town, but it spans an impressive size, with an oval field full of activities, multiple cabin buildings, and main buildings built into a hill. The flat of the hill is the oval, meaning you could see the water from outside your cabin 🌿🏕️.
There was a wide range of activities: canoeing 🚣, biking 🚴, archery 🏹, skateboarding 🛹, high ropes, giant swing and vertical challenge, as well as surfing 🏄 and stand-up paddleboarding for those who were keen. One of the best things about this camp was that you could choose your own level of height for many of these activities, meaning everyone was encouraged to give it a go and build teamwork. The ropes and pulley systems were manned by our peers, who supported our weight as we were lifted into the air—this created huge trust in our fellow students, something we wouldn’t have been able to develop at school.
Additionally, I found the best part at camp was dining in the mess hall 🍽️—because there were so many people, different friendship groups were pushed together on a single table, meaning you got to talk (mainly about how terribly undercooked the food was 😅) with lots of different people who you didn’t know existed before this! And of course, all the teachers were incredibly supportive and eagerly joined in the activities alongside the students. I would say the downside was the weather exposing the forgetful irresponsibility of the student body, with evidence of deep sunburn seemingly everywhere you looked... always remember sunscreen!
The experiences that brought us together were both positive and negative: watching one of our school captains, Ezra, overbalance his canoe two minutes after getting in ; watching everyone jump off the boards into the water during stand-up paddleboarding; playing tag on the canoes; sharing in the sweltering heat of the afternoon and running through the sprinklers to cool down 💧; getting scolded by another school captain, Kate, when people were sacrificed in the floor-is-lava initiatives game 🔥; cheering for Melissa going up the high ropes course; watching Abby completely excel at a TikTok dance after the vertical challenge 🎶; and getting a big group of people from all over the activities oval together to sing happy birthday to Ezra as he was lifted into the air on the giant swing .
Each memory is precious, and I believe that we will all look back on our last school camp with fondness as we journey into the real world 🌏✨.

AnythiNG but a bag
No Bag? No Problem. 🎒❌
What would you bring your things in if you couldn’t bring a bag? That was the challenge we put to our Grads… and did they deliver!!
From eskys 🧊 to washing baskets 🧺, lawn mowers 🚜 to cat carriers 🐱, who knew so many non-bag options existed for carrying all your school needs!
Safe to say: bags are officially overrated.
Beach Day
Beach day… but at school?! 😄 Our students brought the fun and introduced us to a bold new style… swimmers over sweaters! 🩱🧥 Who knew?!
While the vibes were sunny 🌞, the weather definitely wasn’t — it was a freezing day! 🥶
Where do you see yourself in 10 years
In 10 years, we’ll be 27 or 28🤯. Will we have achieved all our dreams and goals? Who knows! We might be teachers 👩🏫 zoologists 🐾 doctors 🩺 builders 🏗️ Olympians 🥇… whatever path we take, one thing’s for sure… we’ll be unstoppable. 💪🚀
