Pool Party
This year we had another fantastic Pool Party at Aquarena πββοΈ. Highlights of the day included the Grad parade, face painting, live music, and by far the most exciting event: our Principal Daryl having a bucket of ice poured on his head πͺ£βοΈ.
Throughout the entire day community and competitive spirts were high, with many students representing their community by either wearing community colours or competing in swimming events.
At the end of the day Gold Community placed first overall in competition and community spirt π₯, and Gold Community leaders Samara and Indi-Rae were presented with the carnival trophy π.
Other competitions included the Grad Parade, where this yearβs Grads dressed up in all kinds of wonderful and whimsical costumes.

A Fantastic Start in Term 1
Itβs been a huge term for interschool sport π, with our students taking part in over 20 different events across a wide range of sports. Itβs been great to see so many students getting involved, representing the school with pride π, and giving their best in every competition.
Weβve also had some outstanding results along the way.
Our Girls Volleyball team, Senior Boys Table Tennis team π, Boys and Girls Basketball teams, and six of our swimmers all qualified for Eastern Metropolitan Regionals (EMR) π.
A big thank you to all the staff and coaches who supported our teams, and to the students for their effort, attitude, and sportsmanship throughout the year. Weβre already looking forward to another great term of sport ahead.
Interschools Sports - Regional Champions
Congratulations to our Senior Girlsβ Volleyball Team who took out the SSV regional competition on 2nd March at the State Volleyball Centre in Dandenong!
Facing a strong Auburn team, the final came down to the third set, but our girls stayed focused, working brilliantly together to secure the win.
βThat was incredible, I can't believe we made it through,β said Samara.

Consent and payment deadlines for Interschool events will now be 7 days prior to the event. Bike Education
Our Bike Education program π΄ββοΈ ran in Weeks 3β6 this term. This program is exclusive for our Entry students and was an exciting way to start the year π. Throughout the program, students learned how to ride safely on the road π£οΈ, follow traffic rules π¦, and develop awareness of their surroundings π. It was fantastic to see their confidence grow each session, with many students improving their control, decision-making, and overall bike handling skills πͺ. The program not only focused on safety but also encouraged independence and responsibility, helping students feel more comfortable riding in real-world situations π.
On behalf of the HPE team, we want to thank all staff who supported the program π and the students for their enthusiasm and willingness to learn π.
ESDP
On Tuesday 10 March, 2026, our ESDP basketball π players participated in a hotly contested 3x3 tournament at Diamond Valley Sports Centre ποΈ. All players were involved in a Round Robin, followed by a knock-out finals series.
Our A-boys made it to the semis but were tied on points β±οΈ with a shot from outside, and we eventually fell short in overtime π . Well done to all players who managed their teams and the busy timetable π. Go TC! ππ€
