As part of having a School Bus Program, we are required to collect information about students that are using the buses. It is very important that all students that use the Panorama Bus Service fill in this form (or a parent carer on the student's behalf). If you do not fill in the form, it may impact your future place on the Bus Roll.

Attendance Reminders
Consistent attendance is one of the most significant factors in ensuring student success. When students attend school regularly, they are more likely to engage with the material, participate in classroom activities, and develop the skills and habits necessary for their academic and personal growth. Missing school—even occasionally—can result in missed lessons and challenges in keeping up with work, school activities and friendships.
Lateness
Just as being at school is important, we know that being on time to every class ensures that students have greater access to learning opportunities, support from staff and connections with classmates.
A reminder of the following:
Late is Late – if a student arrives after the beginning of the period, the classroom teacher will mark the student as ‘late’ on the roll
If a student is given permission to leave the classroom, they must return before the 10 minute mark or their teacher will log a chronicle on Compass.
Only one student will be allowed out of class at a time.
With 5 minutes to go at the end of recesses and lunch times yard duty teachers will ask students to go to class.
We understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes students may need to miss school for various reasons. However, we encourage you to make every effort to ensure your child is present as much as possible. Additionally, if your student must miss school, we ask that you report the absence on Compass and encourage them to stay in contact with their teacher via Microsoft Teams to ensure they stay up-to-date with any work missed. If you require assistance with logging into/using Compass please call the school on 9850-6333 and Press 4 for our IT Department. Alternatively, please log a request for IT support using the following website: TC - I.T Support.
If there are any barriers or concerns that may affect your child's attendance, please do not hesitate to reach out to your student’s relevant Community Executive Team.

Respectful Relationships and Sexuality Education in Term 3
Respectful Relationships and Sexuality Education in Term 3 @TC
Dear Parents and Carers,
In Term 3 we will be continuing our Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) and Respectful Relationships program across our Flexible Learning Environment FLE classes, EAL, MAP and VM, one session each term across the year. Classes have been designed to be developmentally and age appropriate and include consent education for all students. FLE1 will commence the Term 3 classes in Week 3.
RSE this term will continue to build on prior learning of respectful and healthy relationships with the focus on the merging of in-real-life and online/technology-based relationships including AI generated content. Teaching and learning activities aim to explore rights and responsibilities of people to experience respectful, safe, inclusive and healthy relationships free of coercion, control or harm in inter-personal and digital environments.
Term 3 overview:
FLE1/MAP/EAL1: In-person and online: consent education, protective behaviours, safe and respectful environments, unwanted contact and ‘grooming’ awareness. Key learnings include range of help seeking options, home, school and service providers.
FLE2/MAP/EAL2/3: Healthy Relationships and consent. Digital literacy focus, legal, ethical and social/emotional choices and consequences of creating and sharing content, image-based abuse and coercion, including AI generated content. Including help seeking options.
FLE3/EAL/VM: Respectful relationships IRL and online. Revision of affirmative consent, respectful, legal and ethical understandings of inter-personal and digital environments including gaming, online dating apps and social media.
Coming in Term 4….Entry Students: In-class program in ‘Health and PE’ classes revising and building on students’ prior knowledge of puberty and human development, relationships and protective behaviours/bodily autonomy and consent.
At TC we take a whole school approach and believe that relationships and sexuality education is a shared responsibility. We encourage parents/carers to be actively involved, having conversations with your child according to your own values and beliefs. The RSE classes will be delivered by TC staff experienced in this teaching area, and we look forward to working with young people to strengthen their skills and understanding of RSE across their developmental stages.
We encourage and strongly recommend that all students attend these important life-skills classes. However, if you would prefer your child not to attend, please email your child’s Community Executive Team (CET) to opt out by Monday 27th July. Students who are not participating will go to another supervised space during these sessions.

Just a reminder our semester 2 SPTC’s are running on Tuesday 11 and Wednesday 12 August and we look forward to connecting with families to talk about student progress and learning.
Families can choose between online, in-person conferences or a combination of the two.
