Student birthdays

We celebrated 3 birthdays this term. Happy Birthday to Jessica Shi, Danu Kusuma and Danny Tram.

Melbourne Museum Excursion

On the 1st of July the Language Centre students went for a visit to the City. Language Centres students have a subject called social studies where they learn the practical side of living in Australia and another subject called Humanities which covers the historical/political side of Australia. One of the social studies topics is how to use Myki card and get around, which we were able to do on this excursion. We had a walk through Carlton Gardens, passing the Exhibition Centre on the way to the Museum. We also visited the State Library and Melbourne Central before returning to school.

Uni Open Day

Every year our Grad international students attend a Uni Open day catering for overseas students. Universities from all around the country attend. International students have different entry requirements to courses and are required to re-apply for a visa and this open day brings in university representatives who are knowledgeable with these questions and processes. This year it was held in the State Library.

End of Term ELC

We had a small end of term gathering to celebrate those who completed their Language Centre and also to wish some students good bye and good luck at their host high school. TC Language Centre is also open to other schools students who need to attend Language Centre for the mandatory 20 weeks.
