Beauty and the Beast
In Term 1 the TC Drama Elective classes ventured into the city for a tale as old as time!
Beauty and the Beast was a joyful show to watch, full of magic and music. The performers were exceptional, and after the show they even stuck around for a Q&A session. TC students asked a number of excellent, insightful questions, and walked away inspired to throw themselves into the theatre even more.
Stay tuned for a Drama Elective performance in Term 2!

VCE Music 3&4 Excursion to Top Class Music – A Day of Inspiration and Insight
On Thursday 20th of March, the VCE Music 3&4 class embarked on an excursion to Top Class Music in the city – an new annual event for TC music that provides invaluable learning experiences for VCE students. Hosted by the VCAA (Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority), Top Class Music showcases outstanding student performances from across the state, offering a unique opportunity to witness exceptional young talent and artistry in action.
Our students were treated to a series of breathtaking performances across various musical genres, from classical to contemporary, and everything in between. These performances not only demonstrated the remarkable skill and dedication of the students but also provided our class with insights into the level of excellence required for the VCE Music performance exams.
Throughout the day, our students took notes, analyzed the techniques used by the performers, and discussed the importance of musical expression, presentation, and stagecraft. The excursion served as both a source of inspiration and a valuable learning tool for preparing for their own upcoming assessments.
The experience was also a wonderful opportunity for our students to connect with peers from other schools, all united by a passion for music.
A huge thank you to the VCAA for organizing this event and to our students for their enthusiastic participation. We look forward to seeing how the experiences gained from this excursion will influence and inspire their own musical journeys in the classroom and beyond.
Stay tuned for more updates and upcoming events from the Music department!
