Festival of Drama
The third annual Festival of Drama was a raging success! It was all about Connections, which led to a suspiciously high number of performances involving murder...
Students from both Drama Elective classes put on a wonderful show, competing (for the first time) for a grand prize - free tickets to Hadestown the Musical! The victors were ZEEMA - a Taylor Swift-inspired pop band performance which took a dramatic turn. Thanks to all the students for giving it their all - all eyes now turn to Legally Blonde!
May music concert
The Breakthrough – TC’s 2025 Midyear Music Concert was a night to remember!
On May 27 & 28, our Performing Arts Centre came alive with original songs, heartfelt performances, and amazing student talent. From jazz to rock, musos shared stories of struggle, growth, and triumph, many debuting their own original works.
This year’s concert also launched our upgraded theatre lighting, sound & accessibility, thanks to the Northeast Link Community Fund!
Huge props to our performers, tech crew, and staff for making this unforgettable celebration of creativity, community, and resilience.

Hadestown
Yesterday the 1/2 Theatre Studies class (and some friends) travelled all the way down to Hadestown. A musical of epic proportions, the class were swept away by the classic myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, with a side of Hades and Persephone. The music was gorgeous, the performances outstanding and the narrative deeply engaging - there will be plenty for the class to write about. Just in case there wasn't, the students got to ask the cast a few questions afterwards - what an opportunity!
Dance Competition
Our talented dancers took the stage by storm, earning 1st place in Jazz, 1st in Lyrical, and 3rd in Jazz in another division, as well as Overall Winner of the Scholastic Section. Their hard work, passion, and teamwork were truly on display.
Top Designs Excursion
The Units 1 and 3 Visual Communication Design (VCD) classes visited the Top Designs exhibition at the Melbourne Museum this term. We were both inspired and a little intimidated by the exceptional quality of the 2024 student folios. The highlight of the day, however, was watching Will Genat's film A Family Affair, which was not only selected for Top Screen but also received an Honorable Mention from the judges and won the Top Screen People's Choice Award! Inspired by the exhibition, VCD students ended the day by sketching some of the displays to use as inspiration for their own ideas back at school. A great day was had by all!
