Next Week @ TC
24/04/2026
Principal's message
I hope that all our students and their families and carers were able to spend time together and with friends over the break. I am in the enviable position where my whole family had time together over the break, resting and catching up with friends. It has been great to see all the students back at TC this week after the holiday break. I am sure that they will have enjoyed the additional day off whilst the staff returned to work on Monday.
The staff used the day to start the work following up from the School Review, revisiting our vision and values, and considering what curriculum structures might be in place for 2027. The School Review recommendations will necessitate some changes to the curriculum structures in the school, but we are wedded to protecting the FLE.
The consultation around curriculum structures will include opportunities for input from staff, students, and families. The opportunity to be consulted will occur over the coming months. It is both exciting and challenging work aimed at improving student outcomes and wellbeing.
Today I welcomed our local member, Mr Matthew Guy MP, to the school. As the new Principal I was keen to keep him abreast of how great TC is and he spent time talking with and listening to our student leaders.
Coffee with the principal
The Coffee with the Principal sessions return this term and I would love the opportunity to continue to meet parents and talk about the school and its students. ☕️
Most of these sessions will be face to face, with the last session online for those who find it difficult to get to the school during the day. I would like to keep these sessions small so that everyone has the opportunity to talk with me, and each other, and will therefore limit each session to 10 people.
Please make sure that you book a place if interested using the relevant link below:
