Upcoming Relationships, Sexuality and Education Sessions for Entry and FLE2 students

ENTRY - Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) Classes

In Weeks 5–8 of Term 4, Relationships and Sexuality Education (RSE) will be taught during the Health and PE block classes, as part of PE Health class. This is developmental curriculum designed for young people in the Entry/Year 7 stage of development.

💌 🤝We aim to make these classes engaging and create a safe, inclusive and supportive environment for all students.

It will include topics such as physical, social and emotional development, anatomy, sexual and reproductive health including hygiene, respect for others and oneself, consent, diversity and inclusion, personal rights and responsibilities, healthy relationships and friendships (including online), help-seeking and accessing health services💖

FLE2 TomorrowMan Incursion  - connection code

We are excited to host an incursion for FLE2 students with facilitators from TomorrowMan. Please note: these sessions are designed for all young people to attend, inclusive to all gender identities🌈 For more information please go to https://www.tomorrowman.com.au/

💡💬Connection Code provides the tools for these young minds to break free from the limitations of restrictive friendship cliques and peer judgement, cultivating genuine connections and emotional maturity in students.

Workshops will cover content such as emotional intelligence, fear of judgement, authenticity, courage, social and emotional learning, group dynamic, and connection.

There will be three sessions, and students will be allocated to one session on their Compass timetable (either Period 1 or Period 2) — please attend the session you have been allocated🕒

Attendance and Opt-Out Information

We encourage and strongly recommend that all students attend these important life-skills classes. However, if you would prefer your child not to attend, please email your child’s Community Executive Team to opt out by 5pm Friday 31st October, 2025. Endings, Beginnings, and a Whole Lot of Glitter - Celebrating the Class of 2025 ✨🎓

Yesterday morning, TC’s Class of 2025 was officially celebrated with a full-school graduation assembly, marking the end of their high school journey and the beginning of whatever comes next. 🎉 The event kicked off at 9:10 a.m., filling the hall with students, teachers, and families ready to cheer on our grads one last time. 👏

Assistant Principal Darren Irvine opened the morning with a few words (and a little bit of housekeeping), followed by a heartfelt Acknowledgement of Country from Imogen Zanatta. Then came one of the Grad bands, lighting up the room with their performance of One Direction’s “Drag Me Down”, the perfect, chaotic anthem for the day. 🎸🎤

Of course, one of the biggest moments was hearing from our 2025 School Captains. 🏆
Will Genat reminded everyone that “every single student at this school has the ability to succeed,” saying how proud he was to have represented TC and “revelled in being part of the drama.” Abby Dearman spoke about how “TC is a place where the teachers encourage us to challenge the status quo,” and Em Cormack shared a quote from Winston Churchill: “Success is not final; failure is not fatal. It is the courage to continue that counts.” Finally, Tya Robinson left everyone with a bit of inspiration: “Say yes to opportunities and challenges, it’s how you grow and gain new experiences.” 🌟

Then came the iconic Grad roll call, where each student got their moment to shine before the always-hilarious costume awards took over. 🎭 The crowd went wild for appearances from Snow White and the Seven Dwarves, Pitbull, and more. 🏰🐶🎶 The grad video brought back all the memories, laughs, chaos, and all the best bits from the past year, and student awards wrapped up the formalities with well-deserved recognition for achievements in academics, leadership, and community spirit. 🏅

Principal Daryl Bennett closed things out with a message of pride and hope, congratulating the Class of 2025 for making it through the past thirteen years with resilience, humour, and a whole lot of heart. 💖

And of course, it wouldn’t be graduation without Muck-Up Day. 🤪 This year’s crew delivered, turning up in full costume, pulling off harmless pranks, and filling the school with laughter (and a bit of glitter). ✨

As the Class of 2025 steps into the next chapter, both the graduation assembly and Muck-Up Day were the perfect send-off, a mix of chaos, nostalgia, and pride that sums up TC perfectly. 🎓🎉 Congratulations, grads. You did it. 🥳
