What are the roles?

LEadership

TC has built a reputation for great leaders. The opportunities available and the supportive nature of our staff give real leadership capacity development for those in the school. With a strong mentoring and coaching practise in large leadership teams throughout the school there is a great support for our staff to develop their leadership whilst having a large impact throughout the school.

  • Leading Teacher - Sub School Leader (Community Director)

    Our Community Directors have a key role in supporting our students to feel connected to the school and each other. This role includes leading a Community Team (consisting of other leaders and ES Support) for a student cohort of 300 students. This team also includes our equivalent of Home Group staff. This is a great leadership role that will allow you to be a member of the school leadership group and work alongside all of the other key leaders in the school.

  • Director of Careers and Pathways (ES Range 1-4, Full time, 12 months with possibility of extension)

    Our current Director of Careers and Pathways will be on leave for all of 2025 and we are looking for someone to lead our high performing team in this space. Playing a key role on the school improvement team as well, this role will involve leading the Careers and Pathways staff whilst also working with our students.

Class Teachers

All of this round of classroom teachers roles have the opportunity for leadership roles within the school as well.

We aim for a happy, healthy and highly skilled group of staff @ TC. We have a highly collaborative culture with high levels of trust between colleagues. All of our learning areas have a large team with varying levels of experience, skills, interests and passions. You may be an experienced Teacher, looking for your first role or somewhere in between! If you are interested in working with our excellent staff to support our great community, please do have a look at the positions available. All roles have the potential to teach up to VCE level depending on the successful applicant.

Why these Roles?

As we have begun our new strategic plan for 2023 - 2025 TC: The Next Level, we have identified these additional key roles within the school. These roles will work within existing teams to support our community.

These roles will appeal to a wide range of people looking to work within the school environment, at what is regarded as one of Australia’s most innovative schools. We have a large staff all committed to our purpose and ensuring that our community has the best possible learning environment.

Almost every role @ TC will involve an interview with a student panel. This may look different for each role.

We are looking for those who not only love working with students, but who want to adopt a model of continuous improvement by always challenging the status quo so that everyone is empowered to learn. We have an amazing staff who see every day as an opportunity for growth.

If you just want to teach the same thing every day in the same way in a traditional model of education, this probably isn’t the job for you! We are a progressive school that thrives on allowing everyone to achieve personal growth.

Our philosophy is based on the concept that students have far greater skills and abilities than they are generally given credit for and with the support and guidance of parents and staff, they have the ability to manage their own education.
