Next Week @ TC Announcements
To the TC Community,
Again we have had a busy week at TC, with our whole school getting into the flow of the new year. I have spent quite a bit of time this week in S Wing working whilst seeing the learning take place in that space. S Wing is a space that was renovated, and evolving throughout last year, as a space for collaborative learning to take place. It is a huge space where students should be spreading out, working together on tasks in a collaborative manner whilst the member of staff moves amongst the groups supporting and facilitating the learning taking place. As the term, and year, passes on this will develop further alongside students independent and collaborative learning skills development. It should also be noted that this is another space to be used similar to the Resource Centre at recess and lunchtimes with comfy couches, the table tennis tables and other spaces for our students to socialise.
As a school we are having a bit of a focus on attendance at the moment. It is well known that greater attendance will result in more opportunities for high quality learning experiences within the school environment. Here @ TC, when looking at compass, no student should have any unexplained absences. We are asking that you as parents log into compass to approve illnesses or appropriate absences, as all students should be being marked on a roll for each of their subjects. Our staff are aware that it is their legal responsibility to mark the roll accurately, and so all data should be accurate. If you have a question about an absence please contact the classroom teacher that marked the roll.
This is a busy page of announcements again. There is so much going on here @ TC that this set of announcements in proving to be the best place to look to keep up to date. We will continue to refine the layout to make it as easy as possible to read.

Swimming Carnival – 1st March
Please note that our Swimming Carnival on the 1st March, taking place at Aquarena, will again be for all students. The challenge has been set for this day to be a great day not just for our swimmers, but for all members of our community. As well as having the swimming events, there will be many novelty events taking place as well as we use this day as an opportunity to build connectedness for our students. Whether the event is for you about competing, supporting your community, using the dive board or the waterslide or watching others use the dive board or waterside, we are looking to make this a great day for all involved.
Currently our sports staff, TC Media, TC music, our Art Hub and many other areas are coming with ideas on how we can make this a great day. If you have any ideas please pass these onto firstname.lastname@example.org

TC Café News
Healthy food for healthy minds. Our aim is to create wholesome, fresh great tasting food options daily.
Welcome to TC Café, firstly we would like to congratulate Joy on becoming a grandmother again to twins and wish her all the best for her on her long service leave. She will be dearly missed.
It has been a great start to the year with so many friendly faces popping into the café to say hello. As you may have noticed we have made a few changes inside and outside the café with the addition of more tables and some beautiful plants.
We have been trialling a few menu options and have found the homemade granola cups, yoghurt fruit cups, fruit salad cups, Parma melts and pasta are extremely popular.
We are open in the morning from 8.00am for breakfast.
The new menu should be finalised next week, thank you for your patience. And on behalf of all of us here have a fantastic weekend.
