To co-create high quality learning experiences within an inclusive and supportive community
— TC2018-2021: Our Vision

Next Week @ TC 27/4/2018

To the TC Community,

Congratulations to all who took part in the Athletics Day on Monday. We had a great day for it with perfect weather, in stark contrast to some of the days that we have had in the past.

At the recent College Council meeting some of our Community Student Leaders were talking about their role at the school. They described how it is part of their role to look out for the 400 students in their community. When the Student Support and Development Program (SSDP) was developed, it was always done so with the intention of creating a sense of community where everyone had someone caring for them. Hearing the community leaders talk about their role reinforced that this is taking place.

There are some important announcements below, in particular information regarding withdrawal from NAPLAN and around the Round 2 Order closing date for the popular TC Hoodies. Please ensure that you have a look at these to make sure that you are up to date with some of the things happening @ TC.

Information on how to withdraw from Naplan

As a Department of Education and Training (DET) school, all students in Entry and who were the equivalent of Entry two years ago are required to sit NAPLAN tests taking place shortly. Guidelines set to us do state that parents are allowed to withdraw their child from the NAPLAN tests due to philosophical reasons. In order to do this you need to request to withdraw from NAPLAN. If your child does not arrive to the NAPLAN tests without a withdrawal form, we are required as a school to then ask the student to sit the NAPLAN test at a later date.

If you wish to withdraw your child from the NAPLAN tests, you must do so using the form below. We ask that you do this in a timely manner so that we can process the appropriate forms. Please click on the link below for more information.
